What Should I Expect When Filing A Personal Injury Claim After A Car Accident?

Home » FAQs » What Should I Expect When Filing A Personal Injury Claim After A Car Accident?

By Dan Noll on July 26th, 2017 in

If you are curious about how you should properly go about filing a claim after a car accident, this is the article for you.

Generally, the insurance claim of the driver of the vehicle who struck you is going to conduct the investigation. It’s very common for these insurance companies to attempt to review your old medical records to find a reason to blame your injury on another source. For example, saying that your knee surgery was necessary because of arthritis as opposed to being hit by a drunk driver. The first thing we’ll need to do is to form a lengthy review of your medical records. The second thing, of course, is we need to look over the police investigation and obtain information from all of the witnesses of the accident. Their deposition testimony will be extremely important if you need to take this case to trial. The third thing, of course, is filing suit if the insurance companies won’t provide coverage of your medical bills, lost wages, and other damages.
