Were You Injured in an Interstate Truck Accident? Call Our I-55 Truck Accident Lawyer in Springfield, IL for Help

Interstate traffic accidents are often some of the most catastrophic types of motor vehicle accidents. This is particularly true when large commercial vehicles like semi-tractor trailers, big rigs, and other box trucks are involved in a crash. Although interstates are generally safe given the total number of drivers per day on them when an interstate accident occurs it often means life-threatening injuries or permanent disability. One of the most important interstates in the United States is I-55, which cuts through Illinois and travels by Springfield, bringing many large trucks through our community. Unfortunately, our I-55 truck accident lawyers in Springfield know that I-55 also brings many catastrophic injuries to innocent drivers.

Here at the Noll Law Office, they know how physically, emotionally, and financially devastating it can be for a victim of a trucking accident. Not only do these injuries apply to victims, but also to their entire families. That’s why our experienced I-55 truck accident lawyers offer FREE case evaluations and consultations to victims and families. They will answer any questions you have and explain what rights to compensation you may have for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and other damages. To learn more, contact them today to schedule your consultation.

Understanding I-55 Through Springfield

One of the major interstates through Illinois is Interstate 55, also known as I-55. It runs through Illinois in a vertical manner and connects Chicago to many important cities and other interstates in the United States, including St. Louis. As a result, many important interstate exchanges occur on I-55. These are sections of roads where large trucks can switch directions or head to other major cities in the US.

As I-55 approaches Springfield, there is an interstate exchange with I-72 just south of the city. Although I-72 is not as long or connected to other major cities, the interstate exchange with I-72 is very important because a truck can change from a north or south direction (I-55) to a west or east direction (I-72). Once on I-72, trucks can pick up another major interstate.

That means that many very large trucking companies will use I-55 and the exchange with I-72. Large trucks such as double trailers are common, which can create unique hazards and be dangerous for our community that may use I-55 to get from one part of Springfield to the other.

Why You Need an I-55 Truck Accident Lawyer For Your Interstate Truck Case

Interstate truck cases are not like other types of motor vehicle accidents. They often involve complex legal issues involving state law and federal trucking regulations. These often create unique liability issues for victims and their families, which are often exploited by insurance adjusters and defense lawyers.

In addition to the more difficult legal aspects of an interstate truck accident, the damages are often catastrophic too. Although any motor vehicle accident can cause catastrophic injury, high-speed collisions with heavy trucks often result in disabling, permanent, or fatal personal injuries. That requires a truck accident lawyer to have greater skill in handling your case because your lawyer needs to know the complex law and medicine better than the defense lawyer.
